Flexible Fast-Convolution Processing for Cellular Radio Evolution

چکیده
Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) has been selected as a baseline waveform for long-term evolution (LTE) and fifth-generation new radio (5G NR). Fast-convolution (FC)-based frequency-domain signal processing recently considered an effective tool transmitter receiver side subband filtering of OFDM-based waveforms. However, the original continuous FC-based model, can, in general, be configured time-direction only with granularity half subframe, corresponding to 7, 14, or 28 symbols 15kHz, 30kHz, 60kHz subcarrier spacing, respectively. In this paper, we present symbol-synchronous FC-processing scheme flexibly allowing filter re-configuration time resolution equal one OFDM symbol while supporting tight carrier-wise 5G NR mixed-numerology scenarios adjustable spacings, center frequencies, bandwidths, well providing co-existence LTE. Proposed approach segments each stream time-domain into overlapping blocks fixed size. Symbol synchronous is achieved by dynamically adjusting overlap between aligning payload part boundaries symbols. The proposed demonstrated support envisioned use cases provide flexible starting point sixth generation (6G) development.

QCDNUM: Fast QCD evolution and convolution
The qcdnum program numerically solves the evolution equations for parton densities and fragmentation functions in perturbative QCD. Un-polarised parton densities can be evolved up to next-to-next-to-leading order in powers of the strong coupling constant, while polarised densities or fragmentation functions can be evolved up to next-to-leading order. Other types of evolution can be accessed by ...
متن کاملFast Channel Assignment in Cellular Radio Systems
This paper proposes a new algorithm using a nonpositive neural network model to solve channel assignment problems in arbitrary cellular mobile radio systems. Unlike traditional neural nets used in optimization problems, the proposed network is guaranteed to deliver valid solutions after every update and needs no parameter tuning. The power of the new method to solve this NP-complete problem wil...
متن کاملFast Convolution
We present a very simple and fast algorithm to compute the convolution of an arbitrary sequence x with a sequence of a specific type, a. The sequence a is any linear combination of polynomials, exponentials and trigonometric terms. The number of steps for computing the convolution depends on a certain complexity of a and not on its length, thus making it feasible to convolve a sequence with ver...
متن کاملFast, Flexible Syntactic Pattern Matching and Processing
Program understanding can be assisted by tools that match patterns in the program source. Lexical pattern matchers provide excellent performance and ease of use, but have a limited vocabulary. Syntactic matchers provide more precision, but may sacrifice performance, retargetability, ease of use, or generality. To achieve more of the benefits of both models, we extend the pattern syntax of AWK t...
متن کاملFast computation of outage probability for cellular mobile radio systems
In this paper a new approximate method for the computation of outage probabilities in a mobile radio environment is proposed. It allows one to evaluate the performance of a mobile radio system in the presence of fading, in a very fast and accurate way, while maintaining a very good flexibility as to the application to different network environments. Coding is also considered as a possible choic...
